Yayyyyy! I'm so excited to say that Gabriel is finally free and clear and discharged from his physical therapy! Yesterday was his last session with Mrs. Nanette and though we'll miss her we know that not seeing her means our baby is normal and healthy.
I guess only family reading this would know what I'm talking about so I suppose I could explain.
Our Gabriel was born with Congenital Torticollis (shortened or tightened neck and back muscles) which went undiagnosed by his regular pediatrician until he was 5 months. I had been concerned about a slight flattening on one side of the back of his head and him not turning to look in the other direction nor sleeping on that side. His new Ped. (who had to helmet one of her sons) knew what is was as soon as she checked him.
anyway... Gabriel didn't have the normal condition with it effecting only one side of his neck/back (which called "wryneck" makes their faces and heads tilt to one side) but both the left and right side of his back/neck.
We'd had been going to the physical therapist for the last 3 months every week to every other week since diagnosed and We were having to do daily stretches and exercises to loosen and stretch his muscles out. Now that he is sitting without support and scooting along to almost crawling we knew our work was paying off and that his muscles were not effecting his normal progression. After one last visit to Nanette she verified that he is ALL BETTER! Yay! So other than the little flat spot (that Dr. Lana assures us will round out still a little more as he gets older) he is a normal little guy.

He is getting SO big! I love to spike his hair into a little mohawk. Hee hee...

In other news Taylor had his very first practice of the season on Monday. He was thrilled to have the coach doting all over him and telling us... "Taylors putting on great size for football!" LOL. Hes grown a head taller and a few more pounds as well. All the praise did him some good and he was knocking guys out of the way like crazy (even though mommy still can't get over the roughness and worry about him getting hurt). Hes just growning up too fast! Hes taller and more muscled than a typical 10 yr old as well much to my dismay which makes him look older than he is. He already has the older girlies trying to flirt with him when we are out. *sighs* I don't like it one bit. LOL.

Peyton is all signed up for Soccer but his practices don't start til near the end of September. At least that way we won't have conflicting practice and game times.
